Our client is seeking a junior sales/contract engineer to join their team.
This role is suitable for candidates looking to transition into a white-collar role in sales and projects.
Candidates should come from a machine shop, maintenance, or welding/fabrication background.
No prior experience is necessary; however, candidates must be willing to learn and eager to develop. The salary will increase significantly with experience, reaching around £45,000 with an OTE of £55,000 in a few years.
The future duties of the Project Engineer include:
- Managing specific accounts daily, maintaining and improving long-term relationships to maximize sales opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Handling all customer requirements from the bid phase to final delivery.
- Attending kick-off and pre-production meetings.
- Providing technical support to customers when required.
- Generating and providing quotations and job-specific documentation.
- Creating Microsoft Project plan schedules.
- Issuing job cards.
- Ordering materials and sub-contract components.
- Managing sub-contractors.
