As a Semi Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and complete assemblies in line with engineering drawings and company specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and construct complete mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings
  • Work from general arrangement and detailed engineering drawings
  • Ensure all components are correctly aligned using appropriate jigs and tools
  • Monitor build quality and ensure all parts are fit for purpose
  • Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Identify and report non-conforming or damaged parts to the supervisor
  • Ensure all work is fully understood before commencing final assembly
  • Complete builds within agreed timeframes and to required specifications
  • Maintain accurate quality and production records
  • Follow company procedures and comply with all health & safety regulations

Shifts Available:

  • Two day shift options available:
  • Option 1 – 6:00am Start
    • Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
    • Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
  • Option 2 – 7:00am Start
  • Day shift (hours to be confirmed at interview)
  • Early finish on Fridays.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering workshop environment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience using hand tools, jigs and assembly equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
