Excellent working environment - New machinery. CNC Miller/ setter / operator required. We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller. You will be joining an experienced team who operate HAAS machines. You will receive full support on our products and methods of manufacture to assist you in settling into the role. Our client is an ISO 9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 accredited Company and is well-established within the rail industry. They have a team of dedicated and skilled employees of whom they are extremely proud. They offer a culture of training and development of staff, with an enthusiastic team who are dedicated to the ongoing success and development of the business.

Main duties:

  • CNC Miller Set Up and operate a CNC Miller in a busy low to large batch size machine shop.
  • Operating the machine to an acceptable production target whilst maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Performing First Offs and checking Quality to ensure high levels and traceability is maintained.
  • Making a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat, and tidy.

Person Specification:

  • Experienced machinist and competent on CNC milling machines.
  • Able to work to component drawings and adopt awareness to critical dimensions and surface finish.
  • Experienced in machining a wide variety of materials.
  • Knowledge of manual/offline programming would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Used to working to fine tolerances.
  • Able to work under own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Flexible, courteous, friendly, and positive approach.
  • Apprenticeship and/or Engineering qualifications are preferred.

Experience: CNC Milling HAAS or Fanuc controls experience.

Benefits:

  • Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience, negotiable at interview.
  • Hours: 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday
  • Overtime available @ time & 3rd
