As a Semi Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and complete assemblies in line with engineering drawings and company specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and construct complete mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings
- Work from general arrangement and detailed engineering drawings
- Ensure all components are correctly aligned using appropriate jigs and tools
- Monitor build quality and ensure all parts are fit for purpose
- Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Identify and report non-conforming or damaged parts to the supervisor
- Ensure all work is fully understood before commencing final assembly
- Complete builds within agreed timeframes and to required specifications
- Maintain accurate quality and production records
- Follow company procedures and comply with all health & safety regulations
Shifts Available:
- Two day shift options available:
- Option 1: 6:00am Start Monday-Thursday: 6:00am-3:00pm, Friday: 6:00am-11:00am
- Option 2: 7:00am Start Day shift (hours to be confirmed at interview), Early finish on Fridays.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering workshop environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools, jigs and assembly equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
- Reliable with good timekeeping
