Due to a growing order book, an established ERP vendor is looking for a Technical Implementation Consultant to join its implementation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ERP technical consultant or developer with strong SQL and JavaScript skills who enjoys customer-facing work, business analysis and delivering tailored software solutions.
The role:
- You will work alongside functional consultants to deliver enhancements, bespoke development and customisations within the ERP solution.
- You will engage directly with customers, analyse their requirements, produce technical specifications and develop appropriate solutions using SQL, JavaScript and Java.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with customers to gather and define technical requirements
- Producing business analysis and technical specifications
- Delivering ERP enhancements and bespoke customisations
- Developing solutions using SQL, JavaScript and Java
- Configuring workflows
- Completing user-interface modifications
- Updating XML configuration files
- Writing reports
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Developing and delivering technical training
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems
- Advising customers on technical best practice
- Managing several customer projects simultaneously
Your background:
- You will ideally have experience developing or customising ERP software within a manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.
- You should have:
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong JavaScript skills
- Java experience, ideally
- Experience delivering technical software solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- The confidence to deal directly with customers
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong organisation and project-management skills
- The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
