Who are Ambient Support?

Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with a mental health needs and people with learning disabilities.

Devonshire Avenueis a Registered Residential care homesituated in a quiet residential street in the Beeston area ofNottingham. It offers an ideal living environment for young adults with a learning or physical disability, meeting their personal care needs while supporting independent living and the development of life skills.

The home offers specialist 24 hour residential and nursing care for people who have extensive and complex support needs, including those with a sensory impairment.

The role of our Care Assistant:

* Providing social and emotional support, either at home and/or in their local community

* Supporting residents with their personal care including personal hygiene needs if required.

* Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family of our residents

Skills and attributes of our Care Assistant:

  • Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community.
  • An awareness and understanding of high-quality home care.
  • Good communication skills, patience, and flexibility.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support.
  • A flexible working pattern and able to do shift work.
  • Alternate weekend working pattern.
  • Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all our Care Staff.
