Job Description
A great opportunity to join a Staffordshire local authority's finance function as Strategic Finance Business Partner for Children's Services. Reporting into the Head of Finance β Children's Services, you'll provide day-to-day financial insight and support on one of the council's most complex, demand-led budgets.
- Provide day-to-day strategic finance business partnering support to the Head of Finance β Children's Services and directorate leadership team
- Support budget setting, monitoring and forecasting for Children's Services, working closely with budget holders
- Contribute to the identification, tracking and delivery of savings and efficiency proposals, including around placements and safeguarding costs
- Provide financial analysis, modelling and advice to support directorate and corporate decision-making
- Build strong relationships across finance, Children's Services and wider corporate teams, providing both support and challenge
- Support the Head of Finance with contributions to the council's MTFP and statutory reporting
