Overview

Retail Security Officer role at Amberstone Security. This position is based in Bolton. The role offers 40 hours per week with a fully flexible pattern: Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat (13:15 – 21:15) and Sun (10:15 – 16:15). The hourly rate is Β£12.35. A current SIA licence is required to apply. Responsibilities

  • Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
  • Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk
  • Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
  • Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress
  • Completing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy
  • Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
  • Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities

The Person / Requirements

  • Valid SIA licence to apply for this role
  • Previous experience in a Retail Security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history
  • A current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is required to apply
