We are looking for graduates to join our relatively young, sociable and closely knit team as an Analyst. The successful candidate should like numerical analysis; thrive in a team atmosphere and have a good attention to detail. They will need strong verbal and written communications skills. We do not require extensive knowledge of finance or Excel; however you should have a desire to develop these skills. You are probably the sort of person who enjoys solving problems. We offer extensive on‑the‑job training and opportunities for external qualifications.

The Analyst will report to a Director or Senior Associate and assist the team in the valuation of infrastructure and energy transition assets for our clients. This is primarily carried out in Excel using financial forecasting models. You will also build financial models and assist clients in making new investments or selling existing investments.

You will conduct reviews of an asset’s up‑to‑date financial model to understand how its recent financial performance, as well as wider macro‑economic trends, have affected the asset’s projected cashflows. Your analysis will be presented to clients in a clear, easy‑to‑understand investor report. Through these reviews, analysts develop a deep understanding of financial modelling, and will take on an increasing amount of responsibility, laying the foundation for a career in finance.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out valuation bridging analysis where we compare a company or asset’s current valuation to its previous valuation, highlighting the factors that caused the change.
  • Support experienced team members in building detailed financial models that help evaluate investment opportunities, asset performance, and financial decisions for funds.
  • Provide hands‑on training in financial modelling techniques, guiding you through the process and teaching you how to apply these models in real‑world scenarios.
  • Present your analysis and financial models to clients, explaining how the results apply to real‑world asset or fund performance.
  • Review legal documentation including letters of engagement and project documents.
  • Provide training and feedback to colleagues or clients on relevant topics.
  • Administrative and office support duties which may include data entry, correspondence and ad‑hoc internal project support.
Key Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerically based subject;
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Clear written and verbal communication;
  • Well organised, able to work both independently and as a reliable member of a team;
  • Enthusiasm for a varied career with real responsibility, and a desire to keep learning;
  • An interest in developing Excel skills;
  • An interest in how businesses create and measure value;
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service.
Desirable Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
  • Previous work experience in an office based role;
  • Familiarity with Python, or an interest in developing programming skills;
  • Some exposure to AI tools, including using or building AI agents;
  • Experience of legal documentation;
  • Good IT skills;
  • Confident at dealing with people at all levels.

If you do not meet every criterion in the lists above, we would still encourage you to apply.

Job Type: Permanent.

Salary: £29,000 plus performance related bonus with the opportunity for rapid progression post qualification.

Benefits: Fully funded CFA qualification with paid study leave, 22 days annual leave + bank holidays + birthday, flexible working hours (after 6 months), sports and social club events and activities, and weekly free team lunch.

Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The role will initially be office based with the possibility of flexibility dependent on progression and performance.
