Located in the picturesque village of Amberley in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Amberley Castle is a unique luxury hotel steeped in over 900 years of history.
With 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes, and a member of Relais & Châteaux, Amberley Castle gives our team the chance to work in a castle with quality and style.
SERVICE CHARGE – we pay our team service charge each month!
All goes into one pot, and 100% is shared amongst all team members.
The service charge can be in the region of £300 a month (close to £3,600 per year) over and above base pay for a full‑time employee.
We may also be able to offer off‑site staff accommodation in our two staff houses within walking distance of the hotel.
Role Overview

As a Housekeeping Assistant you will keep all front‑of‑house areas and guest bedrooms gleaming, ready to welcome our wonderful guests.
Turndown shifts (evenings) and weekends will be required.
We welcome applications from candidates with no experience – this role is all about personality and attitude, and we can teach you the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning rooms and lounge – play a massive part in making our beautiful hotel look and feel welcoming.
- Maintain safety – keep up to date on all COSHH training.
- Team collaboration – help each other across departments when needed.
