Founding Data Engineer – London (Onsite)

Mission: Solve the billion-pound challenge of qualifying and certifying metal 3D printing.

Our client is a deep tech startup spun out of Imperial College London, backed by top investors and already partnering with industry leaders in aerospace, medical, and automotive. Their proprietary platform turns complex, multi-modal sensor data into instant, actionable insights, enabling manufacturers to adapt and verify critical processes with unprecedented precision.

Join as one of the first engineers, working side-by-side with the founding team to design the core data architecture that underpins this transformation. In 2–3 years, you could be leading your own team.

What you’ll do

  • Build pipelines for multi-modal data (image, time-series, sensor) at scale
  • Automate data labelling using the latest AI techniques
  • Enable model training by supporting AI engineers with robust infrastructure
  • Design, optimise, and manage databases as inbound data volumes grow

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience building and deploying data pipelines for large datasets
  • Strong programming skills in Python and one other modern language
