Amber Valley Borough Council is currently recruiting for a part‑time Buildings Officer based at its Central Headquarters Offices in Ripley, Derbyshire. The postholder will provide facilities management support and ensure ongoing compliancy of the Council’s building portfolio.
The successful applicant will be located within the Estates and Facilities business unit. Duties include:
- Monitoring water and energy usage
- Carrying out building compliance work
- Raising purchase orders for minor maintenance repairs
- Procuring supplies and services
- Processing invoices and making payments in accordance with the Council’s financial regulations and standing orders
- Management of caretaking staff at Ripley HQ
