An opportunity has arisen to join our Pollution Control Team as a Pollution Control Officer. The position deals with a wide range of service requests from the public, and some planning consultations. Amber Valley is an attractive area in the heart of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park and close to the lively cities of Nottingham and Derby.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who enjoys a challenge and has a proven competency in pollution control investigations including the use of noise monitoring equipment. The post will offer opportunities to develop your knowledge across all areas of pollution control work. You will need to bring self-motivation, competent communication and be capable of taking responsibility for your individual work targets.

You will need to be an individual who is good at working and communicating with people from a range of backgrounds, as the main workstream will be dealing with complaints about noise and other forms of statutory nuisance investigation. The opportunity to develop your skills will be plentiful and we can offer a range of training to build on your existing competencies.
