Amber River Premier, one of our leading hubs based in Marlow has a team of specialist advisers offering corporate clients a range of flexible benefits solutions. We are currently looking to add to our Employee Benefits team with a Client Relationship Manager; a newly created position to support our clients in finding solutions for their employee benefits strategies.

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and managing a portfolio of existing employee benefits clients in addition to promoting and marketing our BenefitStream flexible benefits platform to prospective and existing clients. You will act as their trusted adviser, guiding them on how we can support, advise and enhance their employee benefits strategies.

Your responsibilities will also include working with the wider team to develop a marketing strategy to acquire new clients, ensuring our new client onboarding process is optimised to ensure a smooth transition, and become the subject matter expert for our employee benefits clients on our flexible benefits solution. This role combines relationship management, strategic consulting, project coordination, benefits expertise, and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Primary point of contact for a portfolio of employee benefits clients, ranging in size from 10 to 3,500.
  • Gain a clear understanding of each client’s culture, reward strategy, and business goals.
  • Schedule and lead regular client governance meetings, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Schedule and lead, in collaboration with members of our Private Client Team, workplace seminars for our clients’ employees, on topics such as tax-year-end planning, retirement planning, Budget updates. They might be in person or virtual.
  • Offer proactive advice to enhance benefits uptake, communication, and overall employee experience.
  • Maintain strong, trusted relationships with HR, Reward, and Finance teams.
  • Attend networking events to promote our flexible benefit platform solution.
  • In collaboration with internal Heads of Departments, further develop our BenefitStream service proposition and marketing strategy to stay ahead of industry developments, and to attract new clients.
  • Build relationships with third party employee benefits providers to negotiate fees and ensure clients have access to a wide range of solutions.
  • Be a subject expert on the administration of employee benefits, including pensions, life assurance, income protection, critical illness, private medical insurance, dental plans, travel insurance and health cash plans (and more).
  • Work with our team of flex technology experts and Employee Benefits Associates to oversee the successful implementation, renewal and ongoing management of a book of employee benefit schemes, and escalate any issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Ensure strong client retention through excellent relationship management and service.

Our ideal applicant will have a good working knowledge of all major employee benefits and experience of dealing with benefit providers. You should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of developing new business relationships with corporate clients. Qualifications in Pensions Administration, CIPD or employee benefits would be desirable, but we are also happy to provide additional training. Client relationship management skills are essential.

The position is offered on a hybrid working basis, with 3 days office-based. You should be willing to travel as and when required to attend client meetings, seminars or networking events.
