Overview
We are seeking an Investment Support Specialist to join our dynamic team working for our Hub Amber River East Anglia. You will provide dedicated support to the Investment Director, forming an essential part in enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance and providing excellent client service. You will assist with portfolio management, client reporting, compliance, administrative duties and specific tasks related to funds management.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or a similarly related field, hold or be working towards a Level 4 industry relevant qualification (for example the CII L4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) and have experience of working within a UK financial services regulated environment.
Salary: £33,000 to £40,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Assist with investment bulletin research and issuance each month.
- Send written communications internally to ensure staff remain updated on our fund options.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly investment performance reports to all staff.
- Assist with the production of fund factsheets.
- Facilitate GIP switching via platforms.
- Ensure investment MI is accurate and up to date.
- Conduct platform related research.
- Become an Investment Committee member.
- Preparation of pre-committee packs for distribution and subsequent discussion.
- Assist with collating documentation centrally and keeping the TEP panel updated.
- Assist with investment research for (including Multi Asset funds and buy list).
- Conduct ongoing dip-testing to check yield and profile income payment frequency.
- Monitor and rebalance client portfolios.
- Address client inquiries related to portfolio performance and strategy.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the DFM.
- Coordinate meetings and communications between the Investment Director and clients.
- Provide general administrative support to the Investment Director.
- Conduct FE modelling when switching funds.
- Receive training and become proficient in FE Analytics software.
- Ability to travel to our Claydon office to attend quarterly meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field (or equivalent).
- Working towards or possessing a Level 4 industry qualification (e.g., CII L4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning).
- Previous experience in financial services.
- Strong communication, research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with financial software and tools; strong problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivation, resilience and attention to detail with a focus on high-quality output.
- Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships and networks with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities with strong time management and a positive outlook.
- Continual completion of annual CPD in line with company and CII requirements.
