About the Role
Claire at Amber Mace is looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the dedicated team in a friendly nursing home in Leicester, specialising in residential dementia care. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example and help deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing excellent personal care and emotional support to residents
- Supporting residents living with dementia in a calm, respectful manner
- Leading shifts and supporting junior care staff
- Administering medication (where trained and competent)
- Completing care plans and daily documentation accurately
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team
What we’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant (essential)
- Experience working in a nursing home and/or dementia care setting
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach
- Good leadership and communication skills
