Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified) – £48k – Southport Role: Deputy Manager (Nursing pin required) Location: Southport Salary: £48,000 Service size: Small home – 30 beds Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Role Purpose To support the Service Manager in leading a small specialist residential service, ensuring safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance. The Deputy Manager will supervise staff, oversee daily operations, and maintain person-centered support. In the Service Manager’s absence, they will take full responsibility for the service. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and support the delivery of care plans to meet individual needs. • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and health & safety standards. • Supervise, develop, and motivate staff, ensuring effective rotas and performance management. • Support budget control, medication management, and accurate record-keeping. • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for service users and staff. • Build and maintain professional relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders. • Lead or support investigations, audits, and service improvements as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential • Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN. • Experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within a care or supported living setting. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Sound understanding of CQC standards and care compliance. Desirable • Experience managing budgets and financial processes. • Qualification in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or above).
