Job Title: Deputy Manager Location: Hythe Salary: £28k – £32k per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Harry at Amber Mace is working with a small, Residential Home in the Hythe area to help them hire a Strong Deputy Manager who is looking to join a well-established and long standing team. They will be reporting directly into the Registered Manager and will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day running of the home. In return, the home will help this deputy grow and progress their career. Responsibilities: – Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential home. – Ensure high standards of care are maintained for elderly and dementia service users. – Supervise and support care staff to ensure effective team performance. – Manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover for all shifts. – Conduct assessments and reviews of residents’ care needs. – Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. – Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. – Liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care. – Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of staff. – Oversee medication administration and care documentation. – Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the home. – Able to be flexible with weekend and out of hours work in case of emergencies. Requirements: – Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential home. – Strong understanding of elderly and dementia care. – Excellent leadership and management skills. – Ability to work effectively under pressure. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills. – NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (Level 5 preferred). – Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations. – Compassionate and caring attitude.
