Role: Occupational Health Technician – Peripatetic (South West)
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours)
Salary: £25-28k
Location: Somerset (with South West travel occasionally)
We are working with a growing and highly supportive occupational health provider who are looking to recruit a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to support a portfolio of clients across the South West. While travel across the region will be required, the majority of work is centred around the Somerset area, so candidates ideally based around Bridgwater or nearby would be well suited to this role.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced OHT or someone earlier in their OH career who is keen to develop within a company that genuinely invests in its clinical teams.
The Role
- You will deliver the full range of health surveillance services across multiple client sites, including:
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Vision testing
- Skin assessments
- Mobility / fitness assessments
- On-site clinic set-up and administration
- Accurate record keeping and reporting
You will work independently on client sites, with full support from the wider clinical team available remotely whenever needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in occupational health surveillance (OHT or similar role)
- Competent in carrying out a full health surveillance remit (training can be provided where needed)
- Happy to travel across the South West as required
- Own vehicle and full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Open to newly trained or developing OHTs with the right attitude and motivation
