Our teams deliver digital transformation for organisations operating in complex, highly regulated environments. From securing national borders to supporting critical public services, we deliver secure AI, data, cloud and software solutions across high-impact programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for experienced Senior Technical Architects and Lead Technical Architects to join a major government transformation programme focused on the assessment, remediation and modernisation of a complex Oracle estate.
This is a highly technical architecture engagement centred around defining future-state architecture and migration strategies for business-critical platforms. You'll be responsible for assessing complex, highly customised legacy environments, identifying viable upgrade and transformation options, and helping shape a long-term technology roadmap.
The programme involves evaluating migration pathways across Oracle technologies and cloud services, including Oracle Fusion and Oracle Integration Cloud, while working within an established architecture and delivery function.
You'll play a key role in bridging application, integration, database, infrastructure and cloud architecture domains, providing architectural leadership throughout the programme lifecycle.
You'll be responsible for:
- Reviewing and assessing complex Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle SOA and AWS environments
- Establishing clear current-state architecture baselines across multiple technology domains
- Validating existing technical documentation and producing new architecture artefacts where required
- Producing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Defining future-state architectures and target platform strategies
- Assessing upgrade, remediation and migration approaches for legacy enterprise systems
- Developing architecture recommendations and supporting stakeholder workshops
- Creating transformation roadmaps and supporting technical planning activities
- Working closely with infrastructure, security, DBA, delivery and functional teams
- Identifying architecture risks, dependencies and technical constraints
- Supporting governance activities, design reviews and architecture assurance processes
- Contributing to enterprise-scale migration and transformation programmes
Lead Technical Architects will additionally:
- Provide technical leadership across architecture workstreams
- Own architecture deliverables and key technical decisions
- Lead and mentor architects and technical specialists
- Present architectural solutions at Design Authority and governance forums
- Manage stakeholder expectations across business and technical communities
- Provide oversight and quality assurance across architecture outputs
What We're Looking For
You will need:
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect within complex enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) architecture and implementation experience
- Experience working with Oracle SOA Suite environments
- Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Oracle Integration Cloud
- Strong AWS architecture and platform design experience
- Experience defining current-state and future-state architecture models
- Strong understanding of application, integration, database, infrastructure and cloud architecture layers
- Experience delivering architecture outputs within large-scale migration and transformation programmes
- Demonstrable experience producing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Experience assessing legacy estates and developing practical transformation strategies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience operating within architecture governance and assurance frameworks
- Active SC Clearance
- Oracle Fusion transformation programmes
- Oracle Integration Cloud implementation or migration projects
- AWS-hosted enterprise platform environments
- Public sector or highly regulated industry experience
- TOGAF, AWS, Oracle Cloud or equivalent architecture certifications
- Experience supporting roadmap development and transformation planning
Please note: This is not a governance-only architecture role. We're looking for architects who can assess complex technical estates, define practical transformation approaches and provide hands-on architectural leadership throughout major modernisation programmes.
