We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PMO Analyst to join our Programme Management Office. The ideal candidate will support large-scale transformation projects within the NHS or broader healthcare domain. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality project planning, governance, cost tracking, and reporting support. Experience working in a healthcare environment or a strong understanding of NHS processes, governance models, and reporting frameworks is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support delivery of project controls, including planning, risk management, issue tracking, change control, and status reporting.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies using MS Project or other tools.
  • Support budget and cost control activities including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), project health, and delivery assurance metrics.
  • Facilitate governance forums, prepare high-quality packs for steering groups, programme boards, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance RAID logs and ensure risks and issues are appropriately escalated and mitigated.
  • Support resource planning and time tracking processes.
  • Ensure consistent application of PMO standards, processes, and templates.
  • Support audits and assurance reviews, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with organisational standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Programme Leads, and Finance teams to ensure project data is current and accurate.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a PMO Analyst or Project Support role.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with cost tracking and financial reporting in a project/programme environment.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Planview, Primavera, Clarity, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal – confident in dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • NHS or public sector experience strongly preferred.
  • Prince2, P3O, APM or MSP qualifications (desirable).
  • Knowledge of NHS governance, financial management practices, and assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies.

This role at Amber Labs is a 12 Month salary based FTC position with view to extension, and all employees are required to pass BPSS clearance. Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
