We are seeking DevOps Engineers with deep core cloud expertise to join a critical government programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work on highly impactful projects while enjoying a flexible, collaborative environment.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising cloud-based infrastructure, cloud security and cloud provisioning principles. You will work within an Agile team, focusing on scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures that support modern digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploying, implementing, and supporting AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery for effective containerisation.
- Enhancement of container orchestration with Kubernetes in conjunction with CI/CD integration methods and delivery.
- Automate system deployments, configuration, and monitoring for reliability and performance
- Collaborate with developers, security engineers, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions
- For Senior Engineers: Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to solution design decisions
Skills & Experience Required
- SC Clearance preferred, however, SC Eligibility accepted (applications without clearance cannot be considered)
- Proven experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Version control experience (Git)
- Linux OS
