The Role
This role suits someone comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams and passionate about clean code, test-driven development, and inclusive design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js (or React, with willingness to pick up Vue.js and Nuxt quickly)
- Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices, including unit testing and content verification testing
- Build accessible user interfaces in line with WCAG and GDS standards
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, and product managers in agile delivery teams
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement
- Support delivery of services that meet UK central government standards and best practices
- Commercial experience with Vue.js or React, with the ability to quickly learn Vue.js and Nuxt
- Experience working with Test Driven Development
- Proven experience developing accessible frontends
- Familiarity with agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Ability to work remotely with occasional travel when required
- BPSS eligibility
- Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards
- Experience with Nuxt.js
- Experience with content verification testing
- Familiarity with GDS Design System and service standards
