About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Architect to join a major digital transformation programme focused on modernising and improving critical business services.
This role sits at an early stage of the programme lifecycle, where understanding business needs and shaping future solutions is just as important as technical delivery. You will provide architectural leadership across the programme, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical specialists to analyse current processes, assess existing integrations, and define a strategic technology roadmap.
The Role
As a Lead Technical Architect, you will provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams, ensuring architectural decisions align with business objectives and enterprise technology strategy.
You will work alongside architects, engineers, business analysts, product teams, delivery managers, and senior stakeholders to understand current capabilities and design future-state solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading technical discovery, architecture, and solution design activities
- Providing technical leadership across architecture and engineering teams
- Analysing existing systems, integrations, and business processes
- Developing architecture roadmaps and target-state designs
- Designing scalable cloud and integration architectures
- Defining architecture standards, principles, and best practices
- Supporting governance, design reviews, and technical assurance processes
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to shape requirements and strategic outcomes
- Challenging assumptions and driving value-led solution design
- Mentoring architects and technical teams
- Ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, maintainable, and aligned with long-term business goals
