Your Role
We’re on the lookout for a curious and motivated Junior-Mid Level Node.js Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with modern technologies, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to real-world projects from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js
- Work with Kafka and AWS SQS to implement asynchronous messaging between services
- Use Terraform to define infrastructure as code and support automated deployments
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them to AWS ECS
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Integrate authentication and user management with AWS Cognito
- Contribute to version control and CI / CD workflows using GitLab
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and agile ceremonies to continuously improve quality and delivery
- Learn and grow through hands-on experience, mentorship, and structured development plans
Your Skills and Experience
- Some experience with Node.js and backend development
- Must have worked in government
- Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous messaging concepts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerization tools
- Enthusiasm for infrastructure as code and DevOps practices
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from others
- Bonus: Exposure to GitLab CI / CD, Cognito, or Terraform
