Amber Labs is entering its next phase of growth. As we continue scaling delivery across complex, mission-critical programmes in government and enterprise, we’re investing in a senior Talent Acquisition leader to build a high-performing, growth-aligned talent function. This isn’t a traditional “Head of Recruitment” role. It’s a genuine opportunity to build, shape and lead a strategic capability at the centre of the business.
The Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded, high-impact Head of Talent Acquisition to architect and lead our end-to-end hiring strategy. You will take ownership of a 7-person Talent Acquisition team, designing a scalable hiring model that supports business growth, strengthens our technical capability, and elevates our employer brand. Working closely with Sales, Delivery and senior leadership, you will ensure our talent strategy directly enables our commercial ambition. This is a rare opportunity to shape a core capability in a scaling consultancy environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading and developing a high-performing internal TA function
- Defining what great looks like across technical and corporate hiring
- Embedding structured interview and assessment frameworks
- Building proactive pipelines for senior and niche technical talent
- Aligning workforce planning with growth forecasts and delivery demand
- Enhancing our Employee Value Proposition and market positioning
- Introducing data-led hiring governance and performance metrics
- Personally leading or supporting the hiring of senior internal and back-office leadership roles as the business grows
You will own the full hiring lifecycle, from demand planning through to onboarding, and will be accountable for quality, pace and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a builder and strategic operator. You will likely bring:
- 10+ years in Talent Acquisition, including experience leading teams
- A background in consultancy, technology, or professional services
- Experience scaling or transforming a TA function
- Strong experience hiring senior and niche technical talent
- A track record implementing structured hiring standards and governance
- A data-driven approach to hiring performance and workforce planning
- The credibility to partner with senior leadership and influence decision-making
You’ll be comfortable setting standards, challenging thinking where needed, and building systems that continue to deliver long after they’re implemented.
Why This Role Is Different
- You’ll shape a core strategic function
- You’ll directly influence how the business grows
- You’ll operate at leadership level, not as a service function
- You’ll build something scalable and lasting
- You’ll have real autonomy to implement best practice
We’re looking for someone ambitious, senior, and eager to grow with the business long-term. This is a role for someone who wants to build a function they can lead and develop over the next five years and beyond.
