Amber Labs is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential for extension. This is a remote-first position based in the UK.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in architecting, automating, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure environments that support our clients' mission‑critical systems. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, focused on continuous improvement, automation, and DevOps best practices—particularly within government and public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform
- Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement CI / CD pipelines to support rapid development and deployment cycles
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems in production environments
- Ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and governance standards (particularly for government environments)
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices in infrastructure automation and cloud architecture
- Support knowledge sharing and mentoring across the DevOps function
