The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Informatica Test Engineer to join one of our high-performing delivery teams on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. Working on a major UK public sector programme, you'll play a key role in assuring the quality and performance of enterprise data solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies while supporting the testing of complex ETL processes, data warehouse solutions and performance-critical applications. You'll collaborate closely with developers, architects and data engineers to ensure solutions are robust, scalable and ready for production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Testing complex Informatica ETL and enterprise data warehouse solutions
  • Validating data migrations and transformation processes
  • Designing and executing functional and non-functional test scenarios
  • Planning and delivering performance testing activities, including load, stress and soak testing
  • Monitoring application and database performance to identify bottlenecks
  • Analysing test results, raising defects and recommending performance improvements
  • Working closely with architects and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout delivery
  • Supporting continuous improvement of testing practices, frameworks and reusable assets

  • Informatica (ideally PowerCenter)
  • Testing data and ETL projects
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Performance testing
  • Analysing non-functional requirements and technical architecture
  • Oracle
  • UNIX Shell Scripting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams
  • Active SC Clearance
Desirable
  • Experience with one or more of the following would be highly beneficial:
  • LoadRunner
  • Performance Center
  • Gatling
  • Artillery
  • JMeter
  • SAS, particularly supporting migrations from SAS to Informatica ETLs
  • Creating strategic testing plans for large-scale programmes
  • Building reusable testing assets and frameworks
  • Coordinating testing activities across complex delivery teams
  • Risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
