Your Role

This role involves working with one of our key public sector clients on a large-scale enterprise transformation programme focused on modernising and standardising critical business services through a shared Oracle Fusion platform.

The NFT (Non-Functional Testing) Test Lead will be responsible for defining, managing, and assuring all non-functional testing activities across the programme. This includes performance, load, scalability, resilience, security, accessibility, environment readiness, and operational testing to ensure solutions meet the required standards before deployment.

Working closely with programme leadership, technical teams, testing teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders, you will establish and manage the non-functional testing strategy, governance, reporting, risks, and assurance processes. You will play a key role in ensuring that the solution is robust, secure scalable, and capable of supporting a large and complex user base.

This Position Requires

• NFT Strategy & Leadership: Defining and leading the end-to-end non-functional testing strategy, approach, plans, and execution across multiple programme workstreams.
• Testing Governance & Assurance: Establishing governance frameworks, quality gates, controls, and reporting processes to ensure non-functional testing activities are delivered to the required standards.
• Performance & Load Testing: Leading performance, stress, volume, endurance, and load testing activities to validate system performance under expected and peak operating conditions.
• Security Testing Oversight: Ensuring appropriate security testing activities are planned and executed, supporting the identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Environment & Operational Readiness: Assessing environment readiness and operational resilience, ensuring solutions can be effectively supported in a live service environment.
• Risk, Issue & Defect Management: Managing non-functional testing risks, issues, dependencies, and defects through to resolution, providing appropriate challenge and escalation where necessary.
• Stakeholder Management: Working closely with programme leadership, architects, technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on non-functional requirements, priorities, and readiness.
• Reporting & Assurance: Providing clear and concise reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, issues, and readiness assessments to senior programme stakeholders.
• Complex Programme Experience: Experience operating within large-scale transformation programmes involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers, technologies, and governance structures.
• Proven experience as an NFT Test Lead, Non-Functional Test Manager, Performance Test Lead, or Senior Test Lead.
• Strong experience defining and managing non-functional testing strategies within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• Experience overseeing performance, load, stress, resilience, security, and operational testing activities.
• Strong understanding of testing governance, assurance, quality management, and risk control frameworks.
• Experience working with complex integrated systems and enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers, delivery partners, and testing vendors.
• Excellent analytical, planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience working within public sector or highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion, ERP implementations, or large-scale cloud transformation programmes would be beneficial.
