Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud-based data services. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to support enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data from various sources including on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and data integration processes between on-premises systems and AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and BI developers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across platforms.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and performance tuning for ETL jobs.
  • Support production deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution.
  • Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica to support data integration and transformation needs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, or RDS.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and orchestration.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as JIRA, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
  • Experience migrating on-premise ETL processes to the cloud.
  • Knowledge of Informatica Cloud integrations with AWS.
  • Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

This role at Amber Labs is a 6 Month salary based FTC position, and all employees are required to hold BPSS. Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.

In certain cases, we may include a third and final stage, which is a conversation with the company Partners. This will only be considered if deemed necessary.
