About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Interaction Designer to join our dynamic team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design intuitive, user-centered digital solutions. Your focus will be on delivering seamless interactions that meet user needs and business goals, leveraging research and iterative design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and user researchers to design user-centric interfaces.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows to visualize user journeys.
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate findings to improve designs iteratively.
  • Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure designs are accessible and compliant with WCAG standards.
  • Translate user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Use tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to create high-fidelity designs.
  • Advocate for user-centered design practices and Agile methodologies across teams.
  • Support the development of design systems and maintain consistency across products.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Interaction Designer in Agile environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions, including wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with usability testing and integrating user feedback into design iterations.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with government services or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with the GOV.UK Design System and prototyping toolkit (if applicable).
