We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a major government programme, driving the development of accessible, compliant, and scalable solutions using modern technologies. You will play a key role in shaping engineering practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to organisational and government standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead software development ways of working and promote engineering best practices.
- Develop accessible and compliant UI using Government Design System principles.
- Deploy solutions in Azure and AWS environments.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and administer GitLab.
- Conduct horizon scanning and tech spikes to assess emerging technologies.
- Mentor junior team members and own technical onboarding processes.
- Foster collaboration through pair programming and cross-team engagement.
- Drive adoption of standards and best practices across teams.
