Description
Our Sustainability Consultant position is part of our Net Zero Consulting team, supporting clients across sectors on their decarbonisation journeys. You will lead and contribute to energy and carbon reduction strategies, providing expert advice to organisations striving for sustainability, efficiency, and compliance. You will have the autonomy to build client relationships, uncover opportunities for impactful work, and deliver projects aligned with our B-Corp values.
What will you be doing?
- Lead or support the delivery of net zero, carbon compliance, and energy efficiency projects.
- Build strong client relationships that generate repeat and new business.
- Write clear and insightful reports, proposals, and strategic plans.
- Support clients in understanding their energy data, setting targets, and identifying reduction opportunities.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry trends to guide clients confidently.
- Collaborate with colleagues to innovate and improve internal processes and offerings.
- Systems Used: Microsoft Office, energy/carbon platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce).
- Interactions: Clients, internal project managers, analysts, sector leads, and delivery teams.
What does good look like?
- Experience in energy management, sustainability consulting, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated client relationship management leading to new consultancy opportunities.
- Working knowledge of UK net zero frameworks, carbon accounting, and energy reduction strategies.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and balance multiple priorities.
- A degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or related discipline.
- Experience working on public sector decarbonisation or compliance schemes (e.g., SECR, ESOS).
- Familiarity with net zero pathways (e.g. SBTi).
