About the role
We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join their busy and collaborative procurement team. This is a varied and detail-focused role that sits at the heart of the purchasing process. You’ll support the procurement function end-to-end - from raising and tracking purchase orders, through to liaising with suppliers, monitoring deliveries, and keeping purchasing records accurate and up to date. This position is full-time and office-based, Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key responsibilities
- Raise, process and track purchase orders in line with approved requisitions
- Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, delivery schedules and order status
- Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing records using internal systems
- Monitor deliveries and follow up on late, incomplete or incorrect orders
- Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes
- Support pricing reviews to ensure alignment with project bid rates
- Produce purchasing and lead-time reports for internal teams and management
- Act as a key point of contact for internal queries relating to purchasing activity
- Assist with supplier onboarding, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with project and administrative teams to support delivery deadlines
- Support general office administration when required
