Are you a talented Chef de Partie looking for your next opportunity in a quality, fresh-food kitchen?
Amber Employment Services is recruiting on behalf of an established independent hospitality business in Wokingham. We're looking for a passionate, reliable chef who takes pride in their cooking, enjoys working with fresh ingredients and wants to develop their skills within a professional kitchen team.
Working alongside the wider kitchen brigade, you'll take ownership of your section and help deliver consistently high standards of food quality, preparation and presentation, including during busy services.
- Prepare and cook dishes to the kitchen's recipes and standards
- Run your section confidently during preparation and service
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion standards
- Keep your section clean, organised and ready for service
- Monitor ingredients and stock, highlighting requirements to the kitchen manager
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with colleagues during busy services
- Help with preparation for special events and catering when required
We'd love to hear from chefs who enjoy working in a busy restaurant kitchen and take a positive, hands-on approach to their work.
- Previous professional cooking experience in a restaurant or similar kitchen
- Confidence preparing dishes and managing your own section
- Strong cooking skills and an eye for detail and presentation
- A sound understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- The ability to stay organised and calm under pressure
- Good communication, reliability and a team-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, late finishes and weekends
Ambitious, experienced CDPs who are keen to develop and take on greater responsibility are particularly welcome to apply.
Hours & salary £32,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a permanent, full-time position, with evening shifts, late finishes and weekend working required.
