We're working in partnership with a highly regarded, people-focused law firm that is looking to welcome a Solicitor into its Employment team. This is a really lovely opportunity to join a collaborative, well-established team known for delivering high-quality, pragmatic advice while genuinely putting people first - both clients and colleagues.
The role
- You'll manage your own caseload across a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:
- Advising on day-to-day HR and employment issues
- Drafting contracts, policies and settlement agreements
- Supporting on Employment Tribunal matters
- Getting involved in more complex, high-value work alongside senior lawyers
There's a great balance here between autonomy and support - you'll be trusted with your own work, while still having access to experienced colleagues for development and progression. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in client seminars, training sessions and wider business development activity, helping you build your profile in the market.
The team
The team works closely with a broad client base - from SMEs through to larger organisations and senior individuals - offering commercially focused, straightforward advice. They're known for being approachable, down-to-earth and genuinely invested in building long-term client relationships.
What they're looking for
- A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Likely around 2–5 years' PQE (flexible depending on experience)
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment work
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Most importantly, someone who enjoys working closely with clients and being part of a supportive, growing team.
Why consider this role?
- High-quality work without the City environment
- A genuinely supportive, "human-first" culture
- Clear progression and development opportunities
- Hybrid and flexible working options
- A strong benefits package
