The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Surveillance & Evidence Team is seeking an enthusiastic and scientifically minded AMR Evidence Delivery Lead to join a dedicated team. This is a vital role, where you will lead the delivery of crucial evidence outcomes across research programmes.

About the Role:

As the AMR Evidence Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in shaping England’s strategy to tackle AMR in animals. You will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of evidence outcomes in line with the UK’s National Action Plan. Your work will directly influence policymaking, help identify intervention areas and contribute to the understanding of AMR drivers and transmission pathways.

You will collaborate with AMR subject matter experts, external partners, and cross-governmental colleagues, ensuring the successful delivery of the research programme and contributing to a critical aspect of the UK’s AMR strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of evidence outcomes across AMR surveillance and research programmes.
  • Take responsibility for collaboration with key partners within AMR structures and the wider UK surveillance network.
  • Drive forward the AMR research programme, working with colleagues to understand evidence needs and identify pathways for delivery.
  • Manage a motivated and experienced team to ensure the successful delivery of outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific or veterinary field.
  • Proven experience in a scientific or veterinary role with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team, delivering outcomes at pace, even in challenging situations.
  • A strong understanding of AMR and its relevance as a One Health issue (experience in AMR is an advantage but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn in-house IT packages.
