Are you an organised, approachable person who enjoys a varied role where people, administration and practical problem-solving come together? We’re recruiting for an established local organisation looking for someone to support the smooth day-to-day running of its premises and provide a friendly, professional point of contact for the people who use them.
Working alongside an experienced Manager, this is a varied position combining administration, property coordination and people contact – ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility and being part of a small, supportive team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing a friendly and professional point of contact
- Handling enquiries and maintaining accurate records
- Coordinating maintenance and liaising with contractors
- Supporting routine Health & Safety and premises checks
- Keeping property and compliance documentation up to date
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of accommodation/premises
- Providing general operational and administrative support to the Manager
- Responding calmly and practically when unexpected situations arise
There is also an out-of-hours rota associated with the position, which we’ll explain fully during the recruitment process.
We’re looking for someone who is warm, organised and practical, with:
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working independently and using your own judgement
- Good Microsoft Office/IT skills
- A proactive, solution-focused approach
- An understanding of confidentiality
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience within property, housing, facilities, Health & Safety or a similar environment would be useful, but isn’t essential. Strong transferable skills and the right approach are equally important.
Hours & benefits
The role is 16.5 hours across three days. Friday availability is important, with some flexibility around the remaining working days. Salary is approximately £14,700 per annum (c£17.00 per hour), with a generous holiday allowance. A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
