We are looking for an experienced CRM Marketing Executive to join a growing eCommerce team in Guildford. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on CRM, email marketing, customer journeys and commercial analysis. You’ll be responsible for managing customer communications across multiple eCommerce websites and brands, with the aim of increasing customer engagement, retention and revenue. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining creative campaign execution with data, analysis and optimisation, and who wants to have a genuine commercial impact.
The Role
- You will take ownership of the day-to-day email marketing activity, from planning and building campaigns through to testing, scheduling and analysing results.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the email marketing calendar across multiple eCommerce websites and brands
- Planning, building, testing and scheduling email campaigns
- Managing and optimising automated customer journeys, including welcome, post-purchase, re-engagement and promotional campaigns
- Developing customer segmentation to improve relevance and campaign performance
- Monitoring engagement, deliverability and customer behaviour
- Working closely with eCommerce and marketing teams to support promotions, product launches and seasonal activity
- Monitoring key CRM metrics including revenue, conversion, click-through and open rates
- Analysing campaign performance and making clear recommendations for future activity
- Running tests across subject lines, content, creative, offers, segmentation and send times
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous experience in CRM, email marketing, eCommerce or digital marketing, together with strong analytical and commercial skills. You will ideally have:
- Experience creating and managing email marketing campaigns
- Experience with email automation or customer journey platforms
- A good understanding of customer segmentation, retention and lifecycle marketing
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with sales and marketing data
- Good working knowledge of Excel or similar reporting tools
- The ability to turn data into clear, commercially focused recommendations
- A commercially focused approach and an understanding of how digital marketing contributes to revenue.
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Ometria or a similar CRM/email marketing platform
- Working within an eCommerce environment
- Affiliate marketing networks or agencies
- Shopify or another eCommerce platform
- Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms
- Creating reports or dashboards using Excel
- Working across multiple brands or websites.
The Person
You’ll be commercially aware, analytical and naturally curious, with an interest in understanding not just what the numbers are doing, but why. You’ll be highly organised and comfortable managing multiple campaigns and deadlines, while also being proactive enough to suggest improvements rather than simply following instructions. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, but equally comfortable collaborating with wider eCommerce and marketing teams and communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity to join a commercially focused eCommerce environment where CRM is seen as a key driver of customer engagement, retention and revenue. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of campaigns, analyse their impact and continually improve performance through testing and optimisation.
