TL;DR
We\'re building Ambar - the platform that collapses software development from years to weeks. It\'s a fundamental reimagining of how software gets built. You\'ll architect the infrastructure that makes this possible across cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments.
Why Ambar?
Everyone\'s racing to make coding faster with AI. But coding is only a small part of building software. There\'s a lot more: business context, requirements, discovery, architecture decisions, integration patterns. We\'re building the system that handles all of it.
Ambar is a platform that helps humans and AI work together to collect business context, and convert it into running systems. We\'ve already used our approach to ship enterprise applications in weeks that typically take months. Now we\'re productizing it.
Work with the very best engineers and leave your mark on the next layer of abstraction for building software.
The Role
You\'ll own the infrastructure that makes Ambar work everywhere - from startups running in the cloud to enterprises with air-gapped on-prem requirements. This role has principal-level scope from day one.
Core challenges you\'ll tackle:
- Design the unified Kubernetes architecture that runs identically in AWS, GCP, Azure, and bare metal
- Build the control plane that manages deployments across isolated environments
- Architect the licensing systems that work even in air-gapped deployments
- Design the deployment pipeline that takes generated applications from code to production automatically
What We\'re Looking For
You\'ve built infrastructure that other engineers relied on. You\'ve likely:
- Worked building a control plane that allowed other engineers (internal or external) to deploy their software
- Designed platforms that abstract away cloud provider differences
- Created deployment tooling that makes the complex feel simple
- Solved hard problems around multi-tenancy, isolation, and resource optimization
We\'re looking for evidence of systems that worked well beyond their original design and still worked. Send us your most elegant infrastructure solution to a complex problem.
How We Hire
- Intro call (30 min): We\'ll get to know each other and sync on what matters to both parties
- Technical conversation (2 hours): We\'ll discuss systems you\'ve operated and problems you\'ve solved
- Paid final interview (3 hours): Real customer work, real problems, real impact, real compensation. You also have an option to take a paid trial (1-5 days) if you\'d like to get to know us better.
We decide fast. If you\'re exceptional, you\'ll have an offer within a week of starting the process.
