A specialist civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to take full responsibility for planning and programme requirements across a portfolio of projects. This is a national role, with a Warrington based office, involving travel to sites and offices as required (minimum 3 days per week on site/office). The business operates across complex structural and infrastructure works, including bridge deck waterproofing, concrete repair, steel strengthening, cathodic protection, expansion joints, and specialist refurbishment projects.

The Senior Planner will support Project Managers in delivering all planning and programme activities across multiple live contracts, while also contributing to tender preparation and pre-construction planning. The role involves working across several concurrent schemes, ensuring programmes are realistic, robust and deliverable, and that all contractual planning requirements are met.

About You

  • Proven experience operating at Senior Planner level across multiple contracts
  • Strong background in civil engineering / infrastructure planning
  • Experience developing programmes from first principles
  • Proven experience managing programmes through full project lifecycle (tender to delivery)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts, including compensation events and programme updates
  • Experience delivering both tender and live project programmes
  • Proficient in Primavera P6
  • Experience working within a contractor environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
