We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Estimator to join our client's growing fire suppression team. This is a key technical role responsible for fire alarm system design and the preparation of accurate, compliant, and competitive quotations for a wide range of projects, including complex data centre environments.
You will work closely with internal teams and customers, using CRM and management systems to ensure the correct equipment, pricing, and technical solutions are delivered within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities- Produce accurate estimates and quotations for tenders and projects
- Prepare quotations for small remedial and repair works
- Design fire detection and alarm systems in line with BS5839‑1 and BAFE Codes of Practice
- Complete all associated documentation, including certifications and drawings
- Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal teams
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high‑quality, compliant solutions
Experience with one or more of the following systems is required:
- Honeywell
- Notifier
- Gent
- Kentec
- FireClass
- Advanced
You will be a technically strong fire alarm professional with a solid engineering background and hands‑on industry experience.
Essential / Preferred Skills & Experience- Proven experience in fire detection and fire alarm system design and estimating
- Strong knowledge of British and European fire standards
- Experience designing systems for data centres
- Competent in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- FIA Level 3 Fundamentals Certificate (preferred)
- CSCS or ECS Card (preferred)
- IT literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Able to work independently and problem‑solve effectively
- Flexible with working hours and willing to travel within the UK and Europe when required
- Positive, friendly, and confident communicator
- Keen to learn and develop within a growing organisation
