LV Jointer Permanent Leicester (with travel) £41,700–£52,100 pa (plus call out/overtime) The Role We are looking for an experienced LV Jointer to join a small, established field team. The team carries out LV cable jointing, PILC cable de-looping and infrastructure works on building sites across the Midlands and beyond. This is a hands-on role leading the work on site with a jointer’s mate. It suits someone reliable and experienced who wants steady, long-term work with a stable, owner-run business. Key Responsibilities You’ll carry out live and dead LV network jointing, working across both PILC (paper-insulated lead-covered) and modern plastic/polymeric cables, including cut-out changes. You’ll deliver residential PILC “de-looping” projects and work on infrastructure and building-site contracts. You’ll lead and support a jointer’s mate on site and travel to sites across the Midlands and further afield, sharing the driving with your mate. You’ll also cover a weekend on-call rota for reactive callouts, with an additional daily payment while on the rota and further payments if called out. Requirements Full UK driving licence EUSR card (electrical) with LV jointing authorisations First Aid at Work certificate Manual Handling certificate Solid, proven experience as an LV jointer, ideally including PILC cable City & Guilds LV jointing qualifications (or equivalent) Reliable, punctual and trustworthy, with a stable work history Willing and able to commit to the weekend on-call rota Applications from a jointer and jointer’s mate who work together are welcomeHours, Salary & Holiday Standard hours are 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Travel time is not paid, though there’s some flexibility on finish times for jobs further afield. Salary is £160–£200/day, paid PAYE directly on the company’s books, working out at roughly £41,700–£52,100 a year. Holiday is 21 days plus bank holidays.INDP
