We’re working with a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor who are looking to bring a Commercial Manager into their London team. They have a strong pipeline of work across concrete repairs, structural repair and civils, and this role will play a key part in overseeing the commercial performance of projects while supporting the wider commercial team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing the commercial delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Managing CVRs, forecasts, cashflow and reporting across your portfolio
  • Leading on subcontractor procurement, negotiations and account management
  • Managing variations, claims and final accounts
  • Supporting the bid and tender process with commercial input
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects run efficiently and profitably
  • Providing guidance and support to Quantity Surveyors and junior staff

  • Experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior QS role within construction or civil engineering
  • Strong understanding of contracts, commercial processes and risk management
  • Ideally exposure to concrete repairs, structural repair or similar works
  • Confident managing multiple projects and teams
  • Good leadership and communication skills
