A growing and well-established building maintenance and projects contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the business, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to join a company that can offer long-term stability, varied projects and genuine progression opportunities.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will be responsible for managing costs across a high volume of maintenance, refurbishment and building fabric projects from initial pricing through to final account. Due to the nature of the work, previous Measured Term Contract (MTC) and Schedule of Rates (SOR) experience is essential. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing high-volume workstreams and have a strong understanding of pricing and valuation within a Measured Term environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing costs across multiple projects and workstreams
  • Pricing and valuation of Measured Term works
  • Reviewing quotations and variations
  • Preparing valuations, forecasts and cost reports
  • Managing subcontractor accounts
  • Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
  • Providing commercial support to operational teams
  • Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

Requirements

Essential:

  • Measured Term Contract (MTC) and Schedule of Rates (SOR) experience
  • Experience within construction, building maintenance, refurbishment or building fabric projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
