Our client is a world leading IT infrastructure installation business with a long-standing presence at Heathrow Airport. As key partners to the Airport authority, they are playing a vital role in the massive expansion of the airport’s infrastructure.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Supervisor to oversee a dedicated team of experienced data cabling engineers to undertake this work which will be extensive and varied. Specific tasks will include:

  • Copper ethernet cabling for IT devices
  • Digital signage
  • New baggage handling systems
  • CCTV
  • Access Control systems
  • Both internal and external fibre links

The role will comprise 80% hands-on supervision of works and approximately 20% office based maintaining records, updating plans and managing daily health and safety duties.

What you need:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of installing, terminating and testing copper data cabling.
  • Proven experience of leading a team is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Previous airport experience is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with major structured cabling companies in a construction environment under CDM regulations.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS as well as ECS and IPAF are essential.

Previous airport experience is highly beneficial. If not, you must be able to provide evidence of excellent work on major projects with contractors who work within the highest standards of quality and health & safety. 5 years’ references will be required to obtain an airside pass.

We are looking for several Supervisors to start as soon as possible to manage this incredible growth. This role should be considered as a stepping stone for a career minded individual to follow a path to full project management in a highly progressive and supportive environment.
