Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to oversee the full logistics package on a major construction project in Bristol. This role requires someone who has run a logistics package end-to-end, not just supervised small teams. You will coordinate deliveries, manage traffic operations, and ensure smooth logistical flow across a busy site.

This is an urgent requirement due to a manager leaving the project, so the successful candidate must be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full site logistics package on a live construction project.
  • Operate and oversee the delivery management system (training provided; system is simple and similar to industry-standard platforms).
  • Coordinate daily and weekly site logistics meetings.
  • Manage and direct traffic marshals, delivery teams, and on-site logistics operatives.
  • Ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment.
  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager and wider site team to maintain programme alignment.
  • Oversee delivery scheduling, booking systems, and gatehouse operations.
  • Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and logistics protocols.
  • Support induction and handover processes for logistics personnel.

Requirements

  • Proven experience running a logistics package on a construction project.
  • Strong understanding of delivery management systems and site logistics coordination.
  • Experience managing traffic marshals and delivery teams.
  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to start immediately.
