A contractor requires an experienced Site Manager for a 10–12 week industrial project in Bradford. The works involve mechanical breakout and renewal of existing external concrete slab areas within a live, high-risk industrial environment. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate a small team while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards. Only candidates with proven experience managing works in chemical plants, COMAH sites, or similarly high-risk industrial facilities will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations for concrete slab breakout and renewal works.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of 4 operatives, ensuring safe and productive working practices.
- Plan work fronts, allocate labour, and ensure operatives are set to work correctly.
- Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, permits, inductions, and H&S documentation.
- Oversee mechanical breakout activities, ensuring safe use of plant, tools, and equipment.
- Manage concrete renewal works including preparation, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, curing, and protection.
- Ensure compliance with all site safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and industrial-site protocols.
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce RAMS at all times.
- Liaise professionally with internal teams and client representatives.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.
