AMB Recruitment Group are seeking a Principal Contract Supervisor for a well-established Civils company. Please see below the details of the role.
Job Overview:
- Start Date: asap
- Duration: 3 months, with extension
- Rate of Pay: £(Apply online only) per day DOE
- Hours: Mon-Fri, Nights – typically 19:00/20:00 start, finishing around 05:00–06:00
Qualifications/Cards Needed:
- PC Supervisor experience
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- Gold CSCS card
- 3 day first aid
Experience Needed:
- Supervising contractors on National Highways / SDF contracts is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise contractors on night shifts across the Bromford Viaduct works.
- Induct all personnel arriving on site and ensure correct access procedures.
- Deliver pre-start briefings and ensure all teams understand nightly work plans.
- Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with National Highways standards.
- Check and maintain ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and ensure paperwork is accurate and up to date.
- Oversee safe working practices and intervene where required.
- Ensure the road is ready for reopening at the required time each morning.
- Work independently – no site manager present at night; responsibility sits with the two supervisors.
