AWS Professional Services (ProServe) seeks a seasoned Area Delivery Leader with executive accountability for all delivery operations across the UKGI Public Sector portfolio. Reporting to the WWPS Delivery Leader, this strategic executive is responsible for maximizing revenue, optimizing utilization, and ensuring the highest customer outcomes across the region.

You will lead Delivery Practice Managers and their teams, operating at the C-suite level to drive cross-functional alignment, champion business development through thought leadership, and provide strategic portfolio governance. This role demands a forward-looking mindset—anticipating shifts in the UK public sector, balancing short-term revenue with long-term value creation, architecting partner models that amplify delivery capacity, and shaping transformation roadmaps that position AWS as an indispensable strategic partner in customers' digital agendas.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across the Delivery organization, directing Delivery Practice Managers and their teams toward strategic objectives.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of market-leading solutions that exceed customer and partner satisfaction targets.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic business development and portfolio optimization.
  • Partner with ProServe Account Executives to identify, shape, and define transformative customer business outcomes.
  • Own the P&L with full accountability for team growth, performance optimization, and utilization targets.
  • Serve as the senior escalation authority for Sales and Delivery, engaging across pre-sales, active engagements, and post-implementation governance.
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for UKGI Public Sector delivery, translating organizational goals into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges.
  • Experience with consulting practice leadership as manager of managers with team size 50+ and P&L responsibility.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT and/or Management Consulting/Services, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP).
  • Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services.
  • Experience with international sales and delivery work with global F500 enterprise customers and partners.
  • Experience with vertical industry sales and delivery work of contemporary services and solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships.
  • Strong people management and performance management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, contract management, and risk management.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive change.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in ambiguous environments.
